Marketing Your Website Offline
Posted December 30th, 2008 by AnthonyYou can’t make any money from your online business unless you get people to your website. There are many different ways to go about doing that, but most people limit themselves. They think that marketing a website is only done online, but there are actually ways of marketing your website offline that are just as useful.
First, if you own an actual brick and mortar store in addition to your website, you’ve got many potential marketing possibilities. You can simply add your website address to your fliers, receipts, bags, and more. You can also post it on any signs you have in your store or advertisements you place in the phone book and other locations. Obviously, there are a lot of ways you can inform your customers of your website; however, these customers are already shopping at your store. You want to bring in new customers to your site, so while this is a good way of getting people to your website, it’s not going to increase your profits that much.
For that, you need to attract brand new customers to your website. There are a few things you can do in offline marketing to accomplish this goal. The first is to make promotional materials to distribute. These can be given out at any event related to your business. You can also spread these promotional materials around. No matter what you do with them, as long as they get out there, you’ll get people to your website.
Also, be sure to put your website on your business cards. Your business cards are one of the best ways to get your site out there, especially to potential business partners and other professionals. Just be sure to hand out your business cards. It does no good to put your website on your business cards if you don’t hand out those cards.
All in all, while marketing your website offline shouldn’t be your only form of marketing, it can be a great way of getting your site out there and bringing in new customers.
